Faculty and Staff Give Back

Blue White and Tami Buffalohead-McGill

Tami Buffalohead-McGill gives to Creighton because she cares deeply about the richness of the student experience at Creighton. Tami chooses to work at Creighton because Creighton empowers students and emphasizes the social responsibility that comes with an excellent education.

"I choose to give annually because I feel it is one way I can serve the mission of Creighton-- by helping create a welcoming environment for low-income and first generation students. Given the economy, people are faced with the decision about how and where to spend their resources to make the biggest impact in an area that matters most to them. For our family, we feel giving to Creighton is one of these areas where we can make an impact."

Blue White and Fran Klein, Ph.D.

Fran Klein has been at Creighton for over four decades—both in the classroom and in the dean’s office. Fran remains as inspired as ever by the higher calling present in Creighton as a work environment. Because Fran believes in Creighton’s mission, he gives to ensure the success of Creighton and the College of Arts and Sciences.

"As an academic institution, Creighton has a unique mission not shared by ordinary businesses. Our mission makes it clear:  we exist for students and learning. As a university in the Catholic, Jesuit tradition, we also have a commitment to service, both to our students and the larger community."

Blue White and Neil Norton, PhD

Neil Norton gives to Creighton because he is grateful for the way the university has supported his career, and because he cares about the careers of students.

“The pride that Creighton faculty have in our students is palpable. While the current national economic climate is difficult financially, I give because I want to help the University continue to make a difference.

"I was provided an opportunity to make a difference and I will always be thankful for everything that Creighton University has given to me. The success that I have had in my profession is due to the support that the institution has shown.”
